The Company Stage Manager will have complete oversight of HighRise Entertainment’s upcoming production, Lil.Miss.Lady written & directed by Dominic Garfield with music by Lady Lykez. They will be a key contact and manager for all company and staff, and act as representative during the U.K. tour.

The touring schedule begins with rehearsals (13.01.25 – 07.02.25) and ends with the final leg (07.07.25-20.07.25). Rehearsals, tech, and some performances are based in London, with the tour visiting venues in Gloucester, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Fee: £6,930

Please note that this is a freelance position.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in Company Stage Manager, Company Manager, or Stage Manager roles on mid-scale productions or within a similar sized organisation, including touring productions
  • Proactive and energetic, able to work with commitment and dedication to find solutions
  • Proven track record of actively managing and promoting safe and culturally relevant spaces
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, lead, and organise large, collaborative teams of multi-talented and diverse artists

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the touring production
  • Lead, schedule, and manage all rehearsals, with the support of the DSM, including but not limited to fit-up and get outs, technical rehearsals, previews, and press nights
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of the company and staff at all times
  • Uphold company values ensuring an inclusive, accessible, and supportive anti-racist culture across rehearsals and run
  • Liaise extensively with the Creative Team, ensuring a smooth flow of information
  • Control and oversee the running of all performances, ensuring that the agreed and established artistic and technical standards for such productions are maintained at all times
  • Ensure props, stage management, and company overtime budgets are managed efficiently, providing assistance for financial planning and budgeting objectives as and when required, in liaison with Project Producer
  • Supervise and support arranging extra events such as filming, photo shoots, assisted performances
