Immersive Interpretation Producer

Salary: £27,890 – £32,209 per annum FTE

Contract: Full time, 37 hours a week, permanent

Do you have experience of producing high quality immersive interpretation, live theatre or performance? Are you interested in helping to create and deliver innovative and immersive visitor experiences in a museum setting?

We are looking for an Immersive Interpretation Producer who will develop, enhance and oversee our immersive interpretation offer, for example through live interpretation, promenade performance and creative collaboration. This newly devised role will have an initial focus on Kirkgate, our Victorian Street at York Castle Museum.

The post will be part of our Public Engagement, Curatorial and Collections Team and will report into our Participation Manager. The postholder will support our Public Engagement team with delivery of creative engagement and community participation programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose. They will also work with our Curatorial teams to develop excellent audience focused interpretation to ensure that audience engagement and learning is considered at every stage of the project.
