Freelance – Fixed Term
2 days per week (March to July 2025)
£388 per day (maximum of £13,200 for the project)
As Exhibition Producer, you will oversee the planning and delivery of a dynamic exhibition for our Festival Theatre foyer.
You will work closely with the Heritage and Archive Manager and freelance artists to bring the exhibition to life, serving as the primary producer responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of exhibition elements.
The exhibition will subsequently travel to partner venues across West Sussex.
This role would suit someone looking to add to their freelance portfolio at a world-class theatre.

Job Requirements
Essential Experience:
- Experience as an exhibition producer on a minimum of two projects in the arts and culture sector
- Experience delivering complex, multi-faceted projects on time and on budget
- Excellent project management abilities
- High levels of communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent punctuality and time management skills
- Experience managing project budget
Desirable Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in events management, or related field
- Knowledge of CFT and passion for theatre heritage and local arts
- Familiarity with multimedia, lighting, and interactive technologies
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and management of the exhibition, including concept and design of the exhibition.
- Work closely with the project team to bring to life the concept and design of the exhibition elements and displays.
- Oversee the procurement of all necessary materials, design and artwork, printing, equipment, and multimedia components.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, artists and contractors, negotiating contracts and purchase orders to secure services and materials in budget.
- Coordinate the fabrication, installation and removal of the exhibition, providing clear direction and oversight, as well as quality control and timely delivery.
- Ensure the exhibition meets all safety, accessibility and venue requirements.
- Collaborate with the Heritage and Archive Manager to ensure elements align with the project vision and goals, and CFT branding.
- Develop, manage and provide regular reports on the exhibition budget within the £20,000 – £30,000 range
