As a key senior manager in a small, dynamic arts organisation with a national and local remit, the post-holder will lead the Company organisationally playing a pivotal role in the strategic planning and development of the Company. The Executive Producer will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational functions including finance, HR, marketing, national touring, and building management.
Job Requirements
A clear understanding of the role of an Executive leader and the importance of setting a clear strategic direction and meeting business targets alongside excellent artistic delivery.
The networks and contacts to attract a diverse range of partners and funders work with Interplay. An understanding of current trends in inclusive theatre practice and working with communities as co-creators and participants, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
An understanding of the investment priorities and agenda of major national funders. An understanding and appreciation of good governance and working effectively with a Chair and a Board of Trustees
The ability to create a robust and realistic financial strategy for Interplay Theatre, with a proven track record in your field.
An experienced producer and tour booker of small – mid scale theatre. The ability to create and manage project and production budgets, cash flow forecasts and management accounts.
Job Responsibilities
To develop the business plan, in consultation with the Artistic Director and Board. To identify and acquire funding, contracts and resources to secure the company’s activities and development, in close consultation with the Artistic Director.
To oversee and write funding applications, in consultation with the Artistic Director. To nurture strong, effective relationships with key partners, including core funders.
To be responsible for the overall income generation strategy To identify capital monies and work in partnership with the Artistic Director and board to oversee fundraising and project management of continued building refurbishment and development.
To develop effective relationships with press and media, locally, regionally and nationally and prepare press releases. To develop a marketing strategy, and oversee the on-going development of the website. To arrange all marketing and promotional material. To support the audience development strategy led by the Artistic Director.
