Anna Piper Scott is a Melbourne-based stand-up comedian. A trans woman of remarkable wit and social insight, she is a skilled writer and bold performer. She is best known for her solo show Queer & Present Danger, which she has performed all across Australia, to critical acclaim, sold out audiences and multiple major award wins and nominations, including a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Most recently, she debuted her new show Such An Inspiration, which earned Best Comedy nominations at Sydney Fringe, Fringe World (Perth), Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Fringe, as well as winning awards for Best Emerging Writer and a Queensland Tour Ready Award. She’s also the creator and host of the queer cult sensation T4T: A Transgender Showcase and regularly performs her completely improvised stand up show Is This Anything? Featured in Joanne Brookfield’s book 'No Apologies', Anna has also worked with comedy greats such as Wil Anderson, Judith Lucy, Adam Hills and Cal Wilson. When not eliciting raucous laughter, Anna enjoys reading books, watching horror movies and ruining dinner parties by getting political.
